Solix: Algal Biofuel

Listen to Dr. Morgan Defoort speak about Algal Biofuels. He speaks on behalf of Solix Biofuels - a start-up alternative energy company in Fort Collins and Durnago, Colorado. Dr. DeFoort of the Engines and Energy Conversion Lab (EECL) at Colorado State University speaks at a science cafe at Avogadro's Number restaurant in Fort Collins. The focus of his talk is Solix Biofuels and their model for capturing carbon in the form of algal oils and selling that oil for bio-diesel production. He talks briefly about the connection between the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colorado and algal oil research. NREL having a long running history with this technology.
