Neurobiology of Stress

This documentary is a collaboration between Stanford University and National Geographic. Two startling conclusions are made in the film: acute stress can actually shrink neurons in the hippocampus, and people with chronic exposure to stress can remediate the physiological effects by having social meetings where they can vent and talk about their angst. More information here. Check if the documentary is playing on your local PBS station here.
